Experienced therapist who works with you to develop a personalized plan for your (or your child's) needs.
Special Notice: Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, my office is providing remote services to current clients. As of Friday, March 20, 2020 and at least until April 6, I will only provide services by telephone or by video conferencing. Video conferencing is done via a clickable link and is simple to use.
There is a new consent form for teletherapy that is available on this website. I encourage you to read it and, if you agree, sign it and send via email to: firstname.lastname@example.org. This would enable us to continue sessions by telephone or video conferencing.
Currently, I am authorized to conduct video teletherapy with BCBS (PPO), all Medicare plans, Aetna, Cigna, and Tricare subscribers. It is a covered service and your copay will not change. It is important to note that insurers currently do not reimburse for telephone-only sessions, only for video conferencing. You may use your smart phone, computer or tablet for video conferencing.
Please consult the CDC website for ongoing health advisories.
Use the login and password given at your first visit. If you do not have that information, please call Judy Moubray at 940 / 782-9827.
Never a 'one size fits all' therapy. Free 15 minute phone consultation prior to first visit.
Click to pay any outstanding balances owed. If your payment does not go through, try updating your browser.
LOBBY UNDER CONSTRUCTION--LIMITED WAITING SPACE AVAILABLE
You want your life to change in a positive direction, but no one gives you a manual for 'adulting,' or for raising a tween or teen. Therapy can be the next best thing! With a seasoned, approachable, and honest professional at your side, you have the potential to learn new ways of managing your emotions, process old wounds, and gain perspective. I have worked with clients across the lifespan for over 25 years. My wide variety of experience allows me to quickly connect with clients of varying ages and backgrounds, and work with them to find solutions tailored to their needs. I strive to provide ethical and high-quality care to youths in middle and high school, and adults of all ages, including elders.
I am a native of Wichita Falls, Texas, where I was a National Merit Scholar in high school. I was awarded the Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. At Harvard University I earned an Ed.M in Counseling and Consulting Psychology. My M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical Psychology were granted by Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. I have been a fully licensed psychologist, first in Alabama and now in Texas, for 29 years. My work has been almost exclusively in either group private practices (composed of multiple kinds of providers) or in solo private practice, as I am today.
I use research-based approaches and clinical experience, applied with care and concern for the whole person, to work towards mutually-determined goals.
Beyond The Usual
Extended sessions, video learning, written assignments, accompanied practice available by arrangement.
My office is located in the Yeager Office Suites, 6401 W. Eldorado Pkwy, Suite 108 in McKinney, Texas. Parking is available on all sides of the building. To access the Yeager building, turn south at the light at Eldorado and Hudson Crossing. Drive past the Sonic property and take the next left into an unmarked drive; this will lead you to the front of the Yeager Building. Thus, this property does NOT front directly on Eldorado Pkwy. (You can also easily access rear parking from Ridge Rd. south of Eldorado.)
Important: Beginning Friday, February 7, the lobby of the Yeager Building will be undergoing renovation and updating. There will be limited seating available until the process is complete. Thus, please sign the text release form from this website (if you haven't already done so) and send me a text with your (or the patient's) first name announcing your arrival. For example, 'Jane is here.'
I may respond via text, or come to the waiting area to get you. On weekends, for safety, using the back entrances is recommended. (I may have to let you in if doors are locked.) Thanks for your patience while the lobby is under construction!

I am happy to accept multiple forms of payment, including cash (exact), check, credit cards and medical savings account cards. If you choose to use insurance, my office will help you determine your benefits and file claims on your behalf. Some services are not covered by insurance and entail an extra fee--please consult client documents on this site for details.
Note: Please remember to bring a photo ID and your insurance card to the first appointment! All minors must be accompanied by at least one parent or legal guardian at the first visit. Divorced parents must present copies of their decree showing they have the right to seek treatment for their child.
Insurances accepted include:
Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO (this includes BCBS from other states, but NOT HMO plans)
Medicare (traditional and Aetna)
Please note: I am not an EAP provider for any plan.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before your first visit, please contact my billing assistant Judy Moubray to provide your personal and insurance details. This will allow her to check your benefits to ensure that your expectations about out- of-pocket costs are accurate. Some insurance companies use a separate insurer for mental health benefits--do not be caught unaware, or you may be responsible for the full cost of your visits!
Judy is available for insurance verification between 9 am - 12 pm (noon), Mondays through Fridays. Her contact number is: 940/782-9827. Please be sure to call at least a week in advance of your first appointment to provide time to obtain this information and communicate it to you.
